Dwayne,

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Redskins signed one guy. What, so all the
rest are still waiting around for everyone else to throw money at them?
Everyone over paid because Dan Snyder did? I'll tell you now that did not
and never will happen. NFL owners are much stronger than that. If
anything, the Bears didn't keep up with the natural increase that came with
the increased cap money.

But that's not what really happened anyway. Not all the guys that Jerry
named signed over priced contracts and that is certainly not why Angelo
failed to make a signing. The truth is that, just like the case with the
veteran QBs that were available last year, he decided that the unproven
talent he had was better. Which is, of course, nonsense. Its nonsense
because the reality is that the *potential* of the talent he had was (maybe)
better than what those receivers already are. So, again, he closed his eyes
and hoped that what he had would develop - which doesn't work. Which he's
proven doesn't work over and over again.

Tom S.

Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the
things we did not do that is inconsolable.
