[CBFF] CT: Benson: 'I'm afraid to let my guard down'

I'm gonna have to agree here. Fairly or unfairly, so far he's come off to
me as a big ol' spoiled ( with a large splash of immaturity) athlete that
wants it all now. He held out on his initial contract, and then whines
about the one he finally got. I'd bet my bottom dollar that we'd be seeing
another hold out next year if he were to go out and light up the league this
year.
I'm not saying he doesn't know how to work hard; he came to every off
season get-together they had. I'm saying he's not giving it his all; I
think he plays 110% when out on the Field and as hard as anyone else when
practicing. Those qualities alone will go a long way in allowing the fans,
teammates, and the media to look past the negatives. As long as his
discontent doesn't affect his on Field performance, but can we 'trust' that
that won't start happening?
But he needs to learn to shut his mouth and not come across with all of the
'me, me, me' things he says through his actions or his comments. I think
that peoples patience with the T.O. types in this league are running very,
very thin. Benson is dangerously close to entering that group, IMHO.
