If that's the case, he really is a China doll, a head case with a glass
head.  And it is better we find that out now than later.  Tom, I don't think
that argument is coherent at all.  Rex has shown so much tenacity to battle
back from injury, I cannot imagine he would not approach being benched much
differently.  This is the NFL and he knows it is a tough line of work.

I believe he may need a setback like that as a jolt to his system, to bring
reality back into focus.  His needed adjustments are little but many--that
is, many times a game.  But right now, he seems to lack a feel for the
whole.  I get the feeling that during the game he is watching himself on
some highlight reel, hitting bomb after bomb in the come back victory of the
century.  Well, watching from the sidelines for 2 games would do more to
bring him a sense of clarity and focus on reality.  Right now, I don't know
where Rex's mind is at because it is not executing the very moves he claims
he knows he needs to do.

I wish Lovie would pull him this week, because we can ill afford to be
having this debate in last week or two of the season, when it is really too
late to test drive Griese and give Rex a break.
