I tend to agree with you here, Jim. But in Jerry's defense, I keep thinking
of Shoop as well. The reason is because during the 13 win season in 2001
the one thing Jauron and Shoop kept doing was pointing to the team's record.
As if Shoop had anything to do with it.
I'm afraid that this is one of the more common things I keep hearing. "He's
got 10 wins. If it ain't broke, don't fix it." That's absolute hogwash.
I see Grossman's potential and I say you do what's best for his long-term
future with the team (personally, I think you keep starting him but that you
don't be afraid to pull him when necessary but we've discussed that). But
the one thing you don't do is act publicly like the problem doesn't exist
because the defense is winning games. And that's what they tried to do with
Shoop. And that's where the similarity lies.
