[CBFF] AP - Johnson receives one-game suspension

I like to think of it this way. The Bears think of themselves as a family.
So if your son would make a BIG mistake and has some personal problems
needing help with, would you kick him out on the streets and say tough shit
and get your ass in line or will you try to help him?
I would think most of us would help out that son....
Tank seems to be really shaken up by what has happened and even went to
Jerry for help. That to me says a TON. From what I read, they were ready
to cut him until Tank went to Jerry all on his own with a list of things he
needs to get straight in his life.

The reality is, if the Bears would have decided to cut him he would have
eventually ended up with another team. He simply has too much talent to
ignore, and unless the league were to ban him for some reason (which
they seem to never do) someone else would have employed him.
The suspension at least sends a strong message moreso than Lovie leaving
him inactive. The suspension takes away a game check, hopefully enough
of a slap to tell Tank to get his affairs in order. Of course there is
still the pending matter of his legal situation......Tank could be
facing some jail time.
