There's only so much you can say about the slow erosion of talent that is
the result of years of poor drafting.  Sherman was a very good coach but,
just like Wannstedt, his downfall was evaluation of talent.

FWIW I'm underwhelmed by Thompson so far, too.  I still can't figure out
Mike McCarthy as HC.  But at least Thompson is a real GM.
