Really, it's beyond that. He's an incredible elitist, and elitists are nice 
to other elites.

People who make really good money are elite to him, especially those who 
spend all their free money and time on the Bears. People who make decent 
money and spend a disproportionate amount of their disposable income on 
Bears-related activities are also elite.

Those who don't have money to burn on it obviously have not worked hard 
enough in their lives to be the best Bears fans they can be and therefore 
don't deserve respect. Other priorities don't matter.

Simple as that.
