[CBFF] 4 Bears on "Best Team Money Can Buy" (ESPN: Clayton)

Now that I've slept on my previous stance, I'm going to back off slightly. The records noted look more like what Seattle will looking down on in the NFC West. (Seriously, the Cardinals SHOULD be better, but can anyone honestly look at their schedule and see .500 or better? Optimistically - I'm seeing 7-9; realistically - much worse.)

Looking at the NFC North schedules, I could see the Bears going 12-4, Vikings 9-7, and the Packers and Lions at 5-11. The Bears would clinch after beating Minny at home on Dec 3. As to the Lions five wins, there's the three Jerry mentioned, plus a victory over St. Louis (for Martz) riding the momentum after Win #1 against GB; finally the Lions are due for a Turkey Day win. It's been a while.

The NFC West and North will run neck-and-neck for title of "Least Competitive Division." It depends on who you think has the better chance of keeping up with the defending division champ: Minnesota or Arizona?

I still think that the Lions will have a much improved team; however,
you may be right about them being sub-500. I just looked at their
schedule, and it won't be easy.

I'd give them the 49ers, a home win against the Pack and a home win
against the Bills. Other than that, I don't see any gimmes on that
list.

The key is to not slack off in the final weeks like GB did (and end up losing at home in playoffs for the first time EVER! To Atlanta of all teams. And it wasn't even close! HAHAHA Oh man, that loss practically made up for the whole crummy Champaign season...) uh, where was I again? Oh yeah, what I was trying to say is that we need that first round bye.
