Rex Grossman is more of a pocket passer than a scrambler, but he did
some nifty dancing Wednesday when the issue of Thomas Jones and Lance
Briggs missing voluntary workouts arose.

On the one hand, Grossman said: "It's voluntary, but we're supposed to
be here. This is our job." On the other, he said: "It's not a
situation of them being lazy. They're doing what they think is best
for themselves."

Is it best for the Bears, though?

"No," Grossman said. "But we don't live in a perfect world."

Pressed if their decisions is affecting team morale, Grossman danced again.

"Not at this point," he said. "Thomas Jones is a warrior. He has been
in our huddle. He's a leader of this offense. … It's June. It's a
little too early to say it's hurting morale. We have, like, 100 guys
out here."
