Yes, I believe that is what we need to hope.
However, I think a veteran QB like Griese is more likely to be able to throw 
to accommodate his receivers' preferences than a rookie struggling just to 
keep it all together. Just like a veteran point guard knows where his big 
man wants the ball. That doesn't mean it will happen, but a good QB should 
be able to make it happen.
