He's got a point. Angelo's confidence that the offensive problems they had
last year were strictly injury-related is really iffy. If nothing else, you
accept that maybe the injuries were a little more than just bad luck and you
draft a little depth.
Not that I minded the defensive picks. They needed them, too. The depth at
all of those positions was questionable.
There is one other thing. No matter how he spins it, Anglo passed on
talented TEs that were worth the picks they were at. In fact, some of them
were potential value picks. He admitted that. The bottom line is that he
just really doesn't believe in using higher draft picks on DEs. We'll see
how justified that attitude is.
