More than the actual picks, I think it is the reasoning and
justification that Angelo and Lovie offered that is bothersome. They
seem satisfied with our personel on offense. If so, what then
explains the horrible offensive production last year? Are they really
just chalking it up to Rex's injury and Kyle's inexperience? I know
that is part of the problem, but it is really going to take bona fide
results from the WR corps this year to put my doubts about this draft
to rest.

To be clear here: they did not necessarily have to draft a wideout,
either. A big, speedy TE would have added a dimension to the offense
lacked (even at its best last year, it lacked it). What's more, a
threat out of the TE position would help open up WRs on passing downs.

What I kept screaming at the TV all weekend was: "It's the passing
game, stupid!!!" Angelo did not hear me or any one else on this
point. I hope he's right and I'm wrong.
