Strengths: Has good straight-line speed and flashes the ability to
recover when gets caught out of position. Has good leaping ability,
times jumps well and flashes the ability to catch the ball at its
highest point. Possesses quick feet, shows good balance and can change
directions quickly. Possesses adequate ball skills and flashes
big-play ability.

Weaknesses: Byrum is a developmental prospect that lacks ideal size.
Doesn't read keys well, is overaggressive and is vulnerable to play
action, pump fakes and double moves. Lacks ideal upper body strength
and is going to have problems muscling receivers out of their routes.
Though wraps up upon contact, isn't a powerful open field tackler.
Lacks ideal bulk and he frequently runs around blockers or dives at
their legs rather than taking them on at the point of attack.

Overall: Byrum possesses a good combination of quickness, agility and
speed but he isn't fundamentally sound and he is somewhat of liability
as a run defender.
