I agree with your take on Angelo, especially the Pud part. It just seems
like he's afraid to pull the trigger on a mid-round offensive pick... or 2
offensive 1st rounders in back-to back years. How long can you go on
building the offense almost entirely from FA picks? I dunno... maybe it can
continue to work that way (well, that would be assuming that it has been
*working* that way, and we know better than that).
Regarding our scouts, I remember when Angelo came aboard and he started
hiring his scouting staff.... I remember posting at that time that I was
impressed with the hires and the successful (at that time) organizations
they were plucked from, so I have to still have faith that Angelo is being
fed solid info on these guys, which still gives me hope that this draft
will pan out for the positive.
