While you're probably right about Briggs, I question your rationale on Lovie. How could he walk after this season? Doesn't he still have one more year on his contract? And if Lovie isn't complaining about the whole salary issue (and he doesn't seem to be, publicly) how do you know he'll feel disrespected? Since coaches don't count against the salary cap, I imagine the Bears would be willing to pay a Superbowl winner PLENTY come February.

1) Not having Lovie resigned; Depending on how much Lovie feels
disrespected at not getting offered a contract extension last year, I feel
there's a reasonable possibility that he walks after this season. There
will be plenty of team willing to pay more that what Angelo will offer him
this off season.
2) Same goes for Briggs. I've already seen mention that Briggs intends to
walk at the end of the season. I think Angelo should have tried harder to
sign him last year, and probably won't even come close this off season.
3) Is Angelo's personality type such that it will make negotiation with
Drew Rosenhaus - and the several players he has playing with the Bears
- practically impossible? My fear is that negotiations could very well turn
ugly, and if they do for one, they might for all. Will angelo just think
that he's good enough to just go out and replace these guys instead of
paying for them? I think that's a possibility.
Those are my main worries / issues as it pertains to Angelo... but, IMO,
they're substantial and looming just beyond the afterglow of this season.
