True, but Rex has struggled even more against Ds schemed to rattle him.

This is the big question: which team do the injuries really favor? The
Bears lost a key piece to their D (Brown) plus the top dog is hurting
(Urlacher) and Rex lost his go-to receiver (Berrian). See answer to #3
for more on this.

The key to the game is how the Bears offense schemes to play to their
strength (running, Rex on play action) while taking full advantage of
the Gints' deficiencies on defense due to injuries. Rex should have time
to throw (good for us) but he needs to only take what the defense is
giving him. Going for knockout blows because you think the opponent is
weak could lead to disaster, especially with our big play guy out of the
lineup. To keep with the boxing analogy, we need to jab their depleted
front and mid-section relentlessly with the run game and short passes,
then strike big when they are worn down and can no longer attack.

As I watched the time tick down last week I had hoped it was just an
aberration, possibly that they were looking ahead too much despite not
admitting it. Things weren't clicking from the beginning, so hopefully
Harris' comments will continue to be a good predictor of how it will go
on Sunday.
