[CBFF] How long till the love for Lovie?

Speaking for myself, I have no reason to distrust the victim's account
of the incident. Manning may very well be as guilty as the victim is
asserting. But I also have no reason to distrust the Bears' brass and
their behind-closed-doors handling of this situation. Once the league
office renders a decision, the Bears will be free respond to Manning.
If at that time they have a lukewarm response, then criticize them;
but to do so now is premature.
I'm also struggling with whether or not it's the Bears' place to
sanction Manning. If I get in a fight at a bar here in South Bend and
spend the night in jail, does my employer have the right to discipline
me for what didn't happen on company time?
