Now that the justice system has found Koren Guilty (but he unbelievably
escapes jail during the season), can't the league impose a suspension on him
now? Or are they gonna kiss Favres and the Packers collective asses and let
him play all year? what's your guess?

GREEN BAY - Koren Robinson will go to jail for violating his probation in a
drunk driving case, but based on the terms of the 90-day sentence he
received Wednesday in suburban Seattle, the Green Bay Packers' wide receiver
will be able to finish the season.
Although he faces another court date in two weeks in Minnesota and could be
subject to NFL sanctions, including a possible league suspension, Robinson
will be able to play Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.
Robinson missed practice Wednesday to appear in Kirkland (Wash.) Municipal
Court, where he had previously pleaded guilty to drunken driving following
his arrest in May 2005 while with the Seattle Seahawks. Two months after his
arrest, he was sentenced to one year in jail, with all but one day of the
sentence suspended.
Robinson served his one day and was then placed on 24-month probation, which
on Wednesday Judge Robert McSeveney ruled he violated in August - when
Robinson was arrested in Mankato, Minn., and was charged with one count of
felony fleeing and two counts of fourth-degree drunken driving, along with
reckless driving, careless driving and driving after suspension.
In that incident, Robinson, 26, who was playing for the Minnesota Vikings at
the time, was clocked going 104 mph in a 55-mph zone. He registered a blood
alcohol level of 0.09. He is due in Nicollet County District Court on Oct.
19 to face those charges.
In sentencing Robinson to 90 days in jail Wednesday, McSeveney said he could
spend half of it on work-release but ruled that Robinson must report to jail
before March 1, when another court hearing is scheduled.
Asked about Robinson's availability after practice Wednesday, coach Mike
McCarthy said, "I anticipate having him for this week's game. That's my
focus."
McCarthy spoke before the sentence was handed down. Afterward, a team
spokesman said the Packers were aware of the decision but had no comment.
Robinson declined comment after the 10-minute hearing and is expected back
at practice today.
The decision comes at a time when the Packers need Robinson on the field.
No. 1 receiver Donald Driver is listed as questionable for Sunday's game
after suffering rib and hip injuries in Monday night's loss at Philadelphia.
Driver is expected to play, but No. 3 receiver Robert Ferguson, who suffered
a foot injury, is listed as doubtful.
"Koren's been a help to us, and I think how we fit him into the offense is
going to be crucial because he can give us a threat down the field that
maybe we haven't had in a while," quarterback Brett Favre said.
Robinson has played only a handful of snaps from scrimmage since agreeing to
a two-year deal on Sept. 11, serving primarily as the Packers' kickoff
returner. In three games, Robinson has three receptions for 47 yards and has
averaged 21.3 yards on 10 kickoffs.
"He's still going through the terminology change, the language change,"
McCarthy said. "I would say another healthy week (of practice), particularly
after the bye week, and he'll have complete comfort and understanding of the
offense."
