I give him credit for doing that to the press.  What needs to be said to the team is said, not out in public.  The team seems to know where they stand with him.  Look at some of the backers he still has on the Bears.  He's a stand up guy for his players and coaches, and doesn't hang them out to dry in the press.
Had he been Angelo's "guy" he would still be here and winning as well.  He's taking several years of garbage in Buffalo and putting together a somewhat competitive team in a short time.
