[CBFF] Lions Cut Rogers

I think JA and Lovie have made it clear that they are happy with the WRs
we already have. Of the seemingly endless list of available WRs the
Bears have only shown a passing interest in a couple (Lelie and Branch)
even though they have the resources to get someone.
What have the other top NFC teams done this offseason?:
Seattle: signed Nate Burleson, have a deal on the table for Branch if
they can get the Pats to trade
Carolina: signed Keshawn Johnson
Dallas: signed TO
Washington: signed Randel El, traded for Brandon Lloyd
NYG: drafted Sinorice Moss
Ok, so it is possible that none of these moves will improve their
respective teams enough to make a difference, but the real issue is the
realization that upgrades need to be attempted. The Bears had the 31st
worst freakin' offense last season (and yes, a lot has to do with the QB
position) so you'd think some upgrades in receiver department would be
warranted (for the record, I *love* JA's "redshirt class" theory but it
leaves me a little nervous).
In the end it will be which model will win out, bolstering the lineup
with available WRs from other teams or depending on a crop of hand
picked draftees (several who are currently unproven). Having Currie drop
a certain TD pass in preseason doesn't bode well for the latter. It's
going to be interesting.
