You could pick any player.
Brett Favre did more with nothing up in GBay than most.
Barry Sanders had nothing, ever.

Sweetness is my pick for best football player ever, but my opinion is
biased.

In all seriousness, I think Payton was a better player and athlete, but
that
the position is not quite as important as QB. That being said, Montana,
is
the only player that I'd ever draft ahead of Payton in whatever all
universe
fantasy football league I could draft them in.
