Erik Kramer and Jim Miller were both pretty good at taking a step or two in
the pocket to avoid pressure. Grossman actually seemed better at doing this
in his first (injury shortened) season than last year. I am hoping that he
picks that back up now that he is more confident in what he is doing. I agree
that you don't want Grossman to be the kind of QB which is a threat to run
every single play, but I would be shocked if that is really what coaches are
talking about. There were plays last year where there was a clear lane open
for a few to several yard gain and Grossman threw to a covered receiver
instead of taking what was given. I am hoping this is really what they are
working on... If they try to turn him into a scrambling QB, I am glad we have
two capable backups ;-).
