Well, first of all, and besides what I wrote earlier about no respect, I
cite this writer and his assertions of the same as further
indications such.

But to provide more, how about Chris Mortensen on Mike & Mike in the
morning, whom was asked who his early favorite was for NFC champion.... His
reply?  He thinks the Eagles can challenge the Saints..... with *no* mention
of the Bears whatsoever.  Apparently we've digressed so far as to not even
be considered a viable contender, let alone a favorite.

Madden has the Seahawks as favorites for the NFC.  Hello?  Wasn't he in
attendance when the Bears bent them over and kicked their ass all over the
field.  Apparently he gives no weight to the fact that we were without
Harris and Brown during the rematch in the playoffs, another win.  Or that
we've improved out team over the offseason, which I don't believe can be
denied at this point.

I hear words of support for all of the young players in the league who'll be
better with another year of experience.... yet the youngsters the Bears have
that were good enough to make it to the superbowl apparently will not be
getting better.

I only reiterate my contention that the Bears continue as the anti-america's
team in the eyes of the national media because you asked......  And I also
realize that there are a few converts, though I can only think of one at the
moment, that being Clayton. But there are far more that declare the Bears
already done if only because of the mere fact that other SB losers haven't
been able to do much more than squat the next season.
