That's a great observation.  I also contend that there is a certain
level of envy and condescension that gets factored into the Chicago
un-mystique.  Envy, in-so-far as the city of Chicago has enjoyed -
over the past 22 years - 8 championships of one kind or the other.  I
think only New York/New Jersey has enjoyed in that time frame.

And because Chicago isn't an east coast city, the east coasters think
less of anything this side of the Appalachians (e.g. ESPN).

But that will change soon enough.  2007 is shaping up to be one hell
of a year for the Bears.  I really believe that the Bears are going to
kick the crap out of the Chargers in week 1 and the rest of the league
is going to stop, look and say, "uh-oh."
