All the more reason to sit him. Either way this is his last year as a Bear,
and I was willing to play this year with out him. He has not shown me
anything(except his inablility to blitz) that warrants the salary cap hit he
would make.
Another unusual game note was the decision the Giants coach made by running
in for the TD, instead of milking out the game clock. If Metcalf makes that
block, Peterson is gone for a TD, or at the very least we have the ball in
the Red Zone with a minute to go, and a TO to use. I would have wanted Lovie
to milk the game clock, and then taken the FG. I know AIkman pointed this
out on the telecast, but I agree with him.
