[CBFF] Rex

I agree with Chris on this one. IF we lose Briggs, and if Url's back is not
really any better due to rest than you have EVEN MORE to replace on this
defense. If Brown comes back, we still have got to have a better plan B if
he is injured again. D Manning's poor tackling ( escort)has been well
chronicled and we need to definitely concentrate on the OL. I think our LB
crew has been exposed due to poor DL containment, and a lack of great
tackling on the CB part as well.

IF Briggs goes, I hope it is because he is greedy not because the Bears did
not try and sign him.

I don't know, but I'd say Briggs has been the best player on the defense. I
don't know why you guys think he's having a bad year, but I think he's
leading or second on the team in tackles and doesn't seem to get burned by
anyone.

I also think, and noted last week that Briggs play has been awful.

The offsides penalty that negated a sack killed us, and he was not even
blitzing on the play. Very dumb.

Is Briggs out of position so much, due to the fact he is auditioning for his
next contract?

him flailing at the line of scrimmage while the RB danced around/ran through
him. Archuleta was beyond awful.

the edge - I'd have to look at it, but I bet the safeties got caught too
close to the line to get Ward early in the run. The CBs didn't help at all
and were easily blocked - were they getting more yards McBride's way? CBs
are important at shutting down outside runs in the cover-2 and they were
easily taken out of all the running plays.
