[CBFF] Two things about 1985 I learned today

A couple of things I learned today from the Eastern Sports Programming Network:

First, ESPN.com has an interesting feature today on the history of the
Super Bowl ring. They feature all 40 rings and an interesting story
behind each. I have a vague memory of the story they feature about
the Bears 85 ring, but it was a good read, none-the-less.

I'd also like to add that as the honorary jewelery has evolved from a
ring to bling, it's just gotten ugly. Some of the Pats rings and last
year's Steelers rings are just plane over-the-top. Keep it simple,
like the Super Bowl 21 ring. Even the Bears ring requires sunglasses
to see.

Second, Mike and Mike had Jimmy Mac on this morning (in what I thought
was a somewhat awkward interview). I had no idea he was getting death
threats leading-up to the Super Bowl. Here we are 21 years later and
that was news to me. Death threats from who? Rapid Pats' fans?
Disturbed Bears' fans? Pete Rozelle? I had never heard that before
today. Odd.
