[CBFF] Next Year

Seconded.

I'm not trying to make excuses, but this amounted to Grossman's rookie
year. If he doesn't level out early next year, then he's out and Griese
is in. I'll also say that Turner had the cuffs on Grossman early in the
game. Can't do that anymore. Too easy to take early momentum away (as it
did tonight).

Harris and Brown will be back next year. If Briggs gets franchised, this
team will be fine. Who is going to compete with us in the NFC? Seems
like most of the press forgot we were playing without two pro-bowlers.

I'm sad, but this game wasn't embarrassing (except for Rex). I wish the
D could've gotten of the field on 3rd down, but they played tough in the
red zone.

Couple of plays here and there, and we win this game.

Oh well. No I can go buy a hat from the team store (I was waiting for
the SB to be over).

The offense last year was horrible, Rex was unproven (and likely to break), the recievers and TEs weren't worth a damn when they were on the field and suffered too many injuries to be effective. Then the Bears made the playoffs, but along the way they started to look like a real team. The rest of the NFC looked pretty bad, so I predicted the Bears could beat them all (I was a little worried about the Eagles). Then everyone kept picking against the Bears. It didn't matter, the Bears were the better team in both playoff games. I didn't think the Bears could beat the AFC representative, but I was already thinking that just getting to the Super Bowl would be enough for me this year. They hadn't won a playoff game in 10+ years and hadn't really played in many during that time. I just wanted them to prove they weren't a

We do know that next year we'll know if the Bears have a franchise QB. We should finally see what Benson can do. There's a lot to look forward to. This is just the beginning of a great run by the Bears.
