I didn't do too bad considering I forgot about the draft and ended up taking
a kicker in the 5th round. lol

A belated congratulations is due to Adam Gold for winning the CBFF
fantasy football league championship for 2006.

Now let me just say that this was no ordinary fantasy championship team,

really, any team led by LaDainian Tomlinson is far from "ordinary," but
the real accomplishment here is the fact that Adam's team (Battle
Sharks) made it through the season *undefeated*.

I've played fantasy football for a number for seasons now and I have
never seen a team make it through the entire season without at least one

loss. Without taking credit away from Adam (I mean, what did he really
need to do other than make sure Tomlinson wasn't out for some reason) it

does take a bit of luck to endure the entire season without a loss.

To wit, the Battle Sharks had the 6th highest point total twice during
the season so if they'd played any of five different teams in those
given weeks they would have lost. Not only that, but in the championship

round BOTH teams playing in the consolation game scored higher than the
Sharks, thus would have lost the championship if the surprising 6th seed

(6-7 during the regular season) hadn't upended their stronger opponent
in the semi-finals. If you have followed all this you will have
correctly noticed that the 13-0 Sharks played a 6-7 team for the
championship.......talk about luck. Don'tcha love wildcards?!?!?

Congrats again to Adam. Watch later this summer for the announcement of
CBFF Fantasy Football Season IX.
