True, but I'm sure the guaranteed money on the table previously was more
than the $7.2 mil he'll be guaranteed for just 2007. It was his choice
(or through proxy) to turn it down. I'm sure Briggs figured there was a
chance the Bears would tag him so he took the gamble of getting a larger
payday for the price of taking on the injury risk.
