There were accusations of interference from Angelo in moves like this during
the Jauron era.  To this day I think both Angelo and Smith are really
sensitive to it.  I heard part of Smith's conference call with the media
after Rivera was let go and he emphasized the fact that it was his decision.
I think that's why.
