[CBFF] What to think

Tom, 9 outta 10 times, I agree with what you say here on the list, but
this is number 10.

Why is this team not going to go far in the playoffs?

1 - The defense below average. They have been giving up over 320
yards/game, every week going back to the loss at New England.

2 - They're putting NO pressure on the QB. The occasional Mark
Anderson sack does not count. On most plays they're being pushed back
or off to the side. Even John Madden was able to see that.

3 - What happened to all the takeaways? The last time I remember the
defense winning the takeaway battle they were playing the
soon-to-be-benched Brad Johnson.

4 - Rex. In order to win the Superbowl, the Bears have to win their
next three games. What are the chances that Rex has only one "Bad
Rex" game? If he has one of those in the playoffs, they're done.

5 - Injuries. Even though we will be getting Todd Johnson and Peanut
back, injuries have a way of manifesting themselves in the form of
rust and cautious play. Plus, Hester is spending time in the training
room this week. Not good.

The ONLY positive thing about the Bears right now is how they run on
offense and play the run on defense. They have no momentum going into
the playoffs. The "we'll turn it on when it counts" attitude is a
losers mentality.

If the Boys come to town, I think the Bears will have a shot to move
to the NFC Championship. If the Seahawks come in here, I fear they
will mirror last year's Panthers: we beat them in the regular season
and they beat us in the playoffs.
