[CBFF] What to think

I started this thread in the 3rd quarter of the game Sunday, and since
I'm behind I'm going to respond to multiple posts bullet style:

-Yes, Griese had a not-so-good game also, but at the time I was typing
he hadn't been in the game very long. My rant was based on my reaction
to Grossman's two INTs returned for TDs. We can't have that regardless
of how the D is playing or we're doomed. Turnovers are bad enough, but
if we're giving up points directly it will be "one and done."

-That said, I agree with Mr. BEAR-ens and others that Grossman gives
the most upside for our offense. Jerry asks whether "bad Rex" can stay
away for three straight games. Good question. I just want to get to
the SB and then worry about which Rex will show up that night. Until
then I am not going to rest peacefully the night before the games.

-The D's pressure on the QB is obviously lacking without Harris in the
game. I don't know that the current guys are worn out as much as they
just aren't bull rushers. We've been stopping the run so it's not like
we've been dominated.

-Are we using a bit of a vanilla D??? I can see Rivera sticking with
the basic Cover-2 for now, then during the playoffs when Peanut and
Todd Johnson are back on the field sending an extra blitzer (Briggs?)
to increase the pressure. I'd like to think Rivera is lulling the
opposing film watchers that we are committed to sticking with rushing
four, then pull some sneaky surprises.

-I can definitely see the "trade me now" scenario with Jones during
the offseason. One thing is for certain, he's not going to see a
raise. It would be nice to get a 2nd for him but I can't really see
that happening. I personally think a Benson-AP combo will be better
overall than the current Jones-Benson combo.
