Yes, that is true. It was warranted. But all I'm saying is that while many 
people understandably thought about alternatives, I never believed Griese 
would be anything other than a temporary or injury replacement. Come in to 
bring a change of pace, yes, take his place and carry the team through the 
playoffs, no.

It's not chest-thumping, it's not I-told-you-so, it's just what it is. I saw 
a good QB when he was a rookie, and he was so good coming in at the end of 
last year it shocked me. After that, there was no changing my mind.
