The thing is, Chris, that of the reasons listed, only a is probably really
valid and the bottom line is that the Bears did get a deal done even on that
one.
There's no doubt that when an owner like McCaskey tries to take a direct
hand in football decisions, it's a disaster. But I'll guarantee you that b
and c were initiated by Angelo and/or the people below him. And, while we
all may not agree with the decisions made, each one at least makes sense
when put in context. Bottom line, the guy's an idiot.
Have I mentioned before that national writers should be ignored - or at
least heavily filtered - because they can't possibly follow and understand
the moves of every individual team? Well, consider this to be another
repetition.
