This deal may have been closer to being done than you might think. I'm
pretty sure the Bears gave it very serious consideration. The major problem
was likely that they didn't have anyone that they really wanted who was
likely to be available and appropriate at that spot. But I bet they kept
the Redskins on the line just in case someone fell.
