It was reported (or rumored) that a lot of teams were turned off by DR's
parading of Briggs during the owners meeting.

I wouldn't deny that.  But the article pointed specifically to Rosenhaus
parading Briggs around the meeting, showing him off to the other owners.
This incident almost certainly didn't decrease his value.  Statements like
"I'll come back week 10." almost certainly did.  But IMO not the specific
incident cited.  Other than irritating Angelo by making a bit of a circus
out of it, I doubt it did any significant harm.
