Or it could be that Benson is honest and open to the point that he says 
things he doesn't think through, which has been the case before. Willis Reed 
was a big inspiration when he hobbled onto the court for the Knicks in the 
finals, but how much, really, did he bring to the game?

If Benson was hobbling, why would you think he'd have been more effective 
than TJ? Sure, if TJ and AP were both out, but that wasn't the case.

If it's the Super Bowl urgency attitude that's bothering you, I hear you, 
but I also know that's very common with young players. Veterans who got 
there early in their careers always say, "back then we thought we'd be back 
there every year." TJ knew that was likely to be his only shot. I don't 
think Benson believed that.

And I don't think they should be embarrassed by the Super Bowl. They blew 
it. Someone always does. But they didn't look terrible, just not as good as 
they should have. It wasn't Titans-Rams, but it wasn't 49ers-Broncos, 
either.
