*Wolfe injury 'frustrating' to all involved*
By Reed Schreck
ROCKFORD REGISTER STAR
BOURBONNAIS — Garrett Wolfe's reaction to a hamstring injury is
understandable.
"It's frustrating, no doubt about it," the 5-foot-7, 186-pound Chicago Bears
rookie running back said Sunday after tweaking his right hamstring returning
kickoffs Saturday morning.
No timetable has been announced for his return, but Wolfe thinks it will be
within a week.
"It's one of those things you feel it out — when you can go, you go," he
said. "It's kind of a mild strain, nothing major. I know these hamstrings.
I've dealt with this multiple times."
Offensive coordinator Ron Turner is encouraged that Wolfe already told him
he feels better.
"Obviously, every day he misses is going to hurt him," Turner said. "He
needs reps. If it's more than a week, it will be tough.
"Injuries are part of this business, unfortunately."
Wolfe will continue to attend position and team meetings and practice when
he's not in the athletic trainer's room receiving treatment.
"You see the guys out here competing and having fun, and this is a great
time of year," said Wolfe, selected in the third round of the NFL draft out
of Northern Illinois. "This time of year is unlike any other time. It's most
definitely frustrating because it's my first pro camp."
