Just the way I see it, Chris.  A lot of the power rankings/predictions
I've seen already have the bear down around 8th or 9th overall or that
they're going to take the tail pipe (in the playoffs).... While the
Superbowl Odds, are much closer to reality having them ranked #1 in
the NFC.   Contrast that with the AFC, where the SB odds and the
national media are synced perfectly.

Don't confuse respect for the Bear in the division with respect vs the
rest of the NFL.  You'd have to be brain dead to actually predict
another team beating the Bears out of the Div. crown.  But that's
mostly where any respect ends.

I really can't see how most of the national media hates the Bears. I think they could and should've covered them more last season but the coverage that was there did not seem overly biased and certainly not every piece had a slant.
