There are conflicting reports on the exact reason he's out. I think, "He's old and past his usefulness" is a good enough reason for him to be released by the Saints. Especially when Marques Colston and Devery Henderson looked so good last year.

I think Berrian is a 100 catch guy. He's not afraid to mix it up and he frequently bailed out Rex.

I just don't see what's different about Horn or Moulds from Moose. All of those guys are on the downside of their career which doesn't just mean a drop in production but an increase in injuries.

Hmm, comparing a celebration following a split-second juke under gametime conditions to a completely premeditated touchdown celebration display seems pretty spurious.  I'm not trying to belittle Horn's charitable contributions, but wasn't "the cellphone incident" the straw that broke the camel's back for the NFL regarding post-touchdown antics?

I don't think Horn adds anything to the WR corps that would stand out from last year.  And he's no longer a Saint because he was due $5.5 million in salary and bonuses this offseason, and he refused to negiotiate to a lower figure.  So yeah, he's looking for more money than I'd think we're willing to spend.  Also, there's the matter of Horn being benched by injuries during each of the past two seasons.
