Bears raise ticket prices

The Associated Press

March 2, 2007, 3:12 PM CST

About a month after reaching the Super Bowl, the Bears announced Friday that
prices for most tickets at Soldier Field are going up.

Abut 73 percent of all seats will have a $5 increase for the 2007 season,
the team said. The remaining non-club seats will have an increase of $8 or $9.

With the increases, the Bears' non-club ticket prices will range between $65
and $104.

Two of the three club seat categories will see increases of $5 or $20, while
the third club seat group won't have an increase for 2007, according to the
team.

The Bears' home schedule for the 2007 season includes games against three
NFC North rivals: Minnesota, Green Bay and Detroit. The team will also host
Dallas, the New York Giants, New Orleans, Denver and Kansas City.

Earlier this week, the Bears signed coach Lovie Smith to a four-year
contract extension through the 2011 season. Smith led the Bears to a 15-4 record and
their first NFC championship in more than two decades last season before
they lost 29-17 to Indianapolis in the Super Bowl.
