[CBFF] ESPN - Briggs to Bears: Rescind the tag or trade me

I can see this scenario having been played out:

February 16: Bears place franchise tag on Lance Briggs, guarantying him 
$7.2 mil for 2007.
February 17 through March 1: the proverbial crickets chirping.
March 2-4: a few NFL players sign big FA contracts.
Evening of March 4: ESPN phones Lance Briggs for a chat.
ESPN: "So Briggsie, what do you think of Nate Clemons' $22 million and 
Old Man Fletcher landing $15 mil guaranteed?"
Briggs: "I guess the Bears can kiss my a**."
End of story.
