It was neither an apology or a non-apology.  There was nothing
apologetic about it.  I'm not apologizing for the way you interpreted
my use of the word "boy".

However, now that I recognize that how this word - particularly when
in black and white typeset - can easily be regarded in a way not
intended, I will make an effort to choose my words more carefully.

Kenny, I have no idea what it has been like for you to have to put-up
with that kind of bullshit.  But make no mistake, I have considered
what it is like to be at the receiving end of of another's hate.  I
spent an entire summer in the black townships Apartheid South Africa
considering it.  That doesn't make me an expert, but it doesn't make
me ignorant either.
