I was trying to remember what Orton's arm was like. Good to know. I'm not
sure he's that soft in the head. He played in a good offense at Purdue for
**** sake. I think he got drafted low because of injury and struggles from
working under center instead of out of the shotgun. He's probably more a
victim of his draft position than his abilities. I know the NFL guys all say
its what you do on the field that matters, but that's not always true. There
have been some good QBs buried on the depth chart because of they weren't
drafted #1 (Brady, Romo, Warner), and only got elevated due to injury or
ineptitude of the guy in front of them (interesting on the cases of
Brady/Romo that the guy was Bledsoe). I don't think anybody on the New
England/Dallas/Rams coaching staffs woke up one morning and said "these guys
have amazing talents - lets get them on the field".
Also, Orton shaved his neck beard, which means he should start.
