I remember a comment posted here on this this from one of the division's
GM's or someone like that saying, before the season started, that the Bears
were 'bulletproof', and I think most of us would have agreed with that. Now
in hindsight, we know that was not the case, but the point was that not only
did the fans, and the organization feel that every attempt had been made to
make this team better than the year before, but so did the competition.
I think Angelo did his best, and thought he nailed it. I think the rest of
us did too. Shit happens. In the Bears case, there's always a fan around
when it does. Sure, we had 'concerns' about the o-line, but what, really,
could Angelo have done to fix it? Who would have gueesed it would have
fallen apart to such a degree? He had his hands full with fixing the D-line
after Tank went on leave from his senses. Everyone felt that was a stroke of
genius, no?

I don't know, I don't want to be an apologist for Angelo either, but most
people felt he put a solid team in place before the start of the season.
It's just too easy to came back after the fact and point out where the
cracks showed up when there weren't any before.
