I'm not arguing Grossman's benching. You're absolutely right that he 
appeared to be regressing. I mean, after an entire offseason, you'd think he 
would have at least come out on fire and THEN had problems.

But the backup deserves more than a week before getting criticized? I don't 
think so. We brought this highly-paid backup in for one reason, to perform 
in just this sort of situation, to be at minimum *decent*, and ideally 
better -- people were talking about him as the QBOTF, for God's sake -- and 
against the worst passing defense in the league he manages a 65 and a pick 
six.

Bullshit. His job for the past two years has been to be ready on a moment's 
notice, and he got a whole week -- and really more, considering everyone was 
talking about this since the offseason.

The rest of the offense is to blame, too, but he sucked, and there are no 
excuses.

I'm about ready for Orton.
