Jerry,
I will give you that jones was a proven commodity, but what also
helped his effectiveness was that he had Benson to spell him.
And,yes, Jones needed spelling to stay productive as productive as he
was (IMO).
Where you lose me is when you try to compare the two when Benson
obviously hasn't had a full season as 'the guy'. It kinda seems that
you're transferring your bitterness from his anti-team/me,me,me
behavior and trying to project them on to his yet unknown potential.
I ain't say'n, I'm just say'n.
He could be a bust like you say, or he might be pro-bowl bound at the
end of the season. I gotta believe Angelo and Lovie had an idea that
it would be a change for the better when they pulled the trigger on
Jones.
