FWIW I think it's bad for the game as well.  At least for my enjoyment of
it, as it promotes individual over team achievements and turns otherwise
interesting people into complete bores at parties--"So I picked Tuiasosopo
up on waivers and he had a great week for me."  Yeah I know it's nice to
have a hobby but there are far more productive ones out there.
