I wouldn't put any real stock in the preseason. I only saw one complete
preseason game, but I have a feeling play calling had a lot to do with
production on many fronts. If you look at Grossmans stats he had a very
low YPC average where Griese had a relatively high one. In general, I think
the play calling was more to each player's weakness to work on those things.
i.e. Lovie truly looks as preseason as practice. Now that we are to real
games, I think the play calling will try to show case a player's strength
more frequently.
